The Toyota Highlander has more than 510 miles of max range on a full tank of fuel. For each trim level that equips FWD, they return 29 highway MPG and 21 city miles per gallon. If you select the AWD configuration, it gets 20 city miles per gallon, 27 miles per gallon highway, for 23mpg combined. The Hybrid models obviously have higher ratings, no matter the configuration that’s chosen, it’ll get 35 or 36 city miles per gallon and 35 highway miles per gallon.
The 2022 Highlander uses a 3.5L V6 that produces 295 horsepower, which is coupled with an eight-speed auto transmission. Buyers get an option of using either the front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configuration. The Highlander Hybrid uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and two electric motors that team up for a combined 243 horsepower that delivers a lot of versatility for drivers without sacrificing horsepower along the journey.
